The pure badger brush is made from a lower grade of badger hair, but is preferred by many because of it's stiffer bristle. The hair is dark in appearance, making the pure badger easily identifiable. 

Pure badger hair are the most common type of shaving brush used in the World, which is picked from the neck, shoulders, abdomen and buttocks of the badger and so is made up of hair which covers around 60% of a badger's body. Brushes made exclusively with pure badger hair cost significantly less than finer 

Pure badger is the most readily available badger hair on the badger. It still features a colored band in the center, but the contrast is not as noticeable. Due to its high availability, pure badger is a very cost effective choice.

The hairs are coarser and thicker than finest and best badger. The hairs do not hold as much water as the finer grades of badger hair and will feel scratchier on the skin.

The coarse nature of the badger hair makes it an ideal candidate for soaps and face lathering. The thick nature of the bristles means brushes made out of this hair have a lot more backbone.

Face feel of pure badger is mostly soft, but is interspersed with noticeable scratch. Good for those looking for an exfoliating brush or want to experience a more flexible hair knot compared to boar or black badger.

How to get the Perfect Shave
 
1 Moisten the area to be shaved with warm to hot water

2 Dip the badger hair brush into hot water

3 Then dip the brush into your shaving cream or soap and swirl around to create the lather

4 Apply the lather to your skin in circular strokes

5. Leave on the face for 1 to 2 minutes

6 Shave

7 Rinse the brush with clean water

8 Shake excess water from brush and place in a holder with the bristles pointing downwards
